The Spring that Sprung

by Becky Elmuccio on May 26, 2014

How has everyone been? It’s been about two months since my last post and I wanted to check in with everyone. It has been an exciting and busy spring here. I’m sorry that I haven’t been around as much, but posts will be emerging soon as we transition into June. So, where have I been and what have I been doing?

1) Started a new business

I started a new Social Media Marketing and Consulting business in South Jersey. I help small businesses, primarily retail shops and restaurants, to create content and manage their Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn, etc. profiles in order to engage their online communities and foster in store business. I am loving it! I am a huge proponent of shopping small and shopping local and helping spread the word of the value that it carries for your dollar has been a joy. Plus, as I talk with folks who know that they need to be on social media, but it is one more thing in their day, I tell them that they can make it one more thing in my day.

If you are in South Jersey and are looking for help in social media or have family or friends that need assistance, please feel free to email me at Freelance blogging is also available in order to help keep websites SEO rich and current in Google searches.

2) Preschool year one is done for the Tomato

Tomato loved preschool this year. She made new friends, extended herself academically and creatively and was genuinely sad to realize it was her last week the other day. She is home for the summer now, which means mom is getting creative in managing a work-at-home business and watching a little one each day. 3 1/2 is a fantastic age of discovery and curiosity and I like that she is watching me be an entrepreneur. In telling her about what I do, when she asks about a new client, she always wants to know if they are on Google+. SEO matters to 3 1/2 year olds. 🙂

3) The Garden

We are playing it low key this year. With the startup of the new business, I wanted to make sure that I don’t overwhelm myself. So, I will be posting lots of images of what we are doing this year and tips for organic gardening, but the array of what we grow is not as wide this year. I’d rather have success than stress.

4) Thinking about the focus of the blog

I have some ideas brewing, and changes will be coming to the site. So, stay tuned over the summer to see what develops. New series topics, new design, new name perhaps? Suffice to say I am falling asleep most nights thinking of things and will be putting a pad and pen next to the bed in order to help remember them now!

I hope that all is well with all of you. Tuesday Greens will also be coming back soon and I look forward to seeing everyone on the link up. Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all who have served.
